Lived Experience contd. No access to records: a patient danger

I was kept in the SAU ward overnight. The Urology Consultant arranged a blood test and it was discovered the infection was resistant to the antibiotics prescribed. I was prescribed a different antibiotic. Once again because the Lister could not see the scans nor the medical record from Carmarthen Hospital, they have now arranged to repeat the scans at Lister.

My biggest concern was supposing I had not been able to communicate with the Medical Professionals at either hospital. Both would have been treating me without access to all the relevant information. This must be happening every day. How many people are coming to harm because of incorrect treatment? NP 08/07/2026
